”I would like to thank you for the great opportunity of attending the Class that you instructed. Tangible Moments Photography always captures the natural beautiful moments that ‘speaks 1000 words‘. Taking a picture just seems so easy when I watch you in action Maureen. Now, being a mom and watching my children grow up way too fast, I can only dream to catch some natural moments without ending up with a blurry, dark and ‘staged’ picture. It is not easy for me. Your Class has helped me become familiar with my camera, understanding it’s settings and put some knowledge behind my attempts to capture a moment or two. You have given me some secret that has made my pictures clear and bright! Thank you!” -C Finlayson
“Maureen has a gentle yet motivating way of encouraging mommy and daddy photographers when it comes to using their cameras. Her simple and clear explanation of terminology helped me go “aha! that makes more sense!” and I have been using a DSLR for almost 6 years. I highly reccomend attending her photo classes if you have no clue how to use your camera to take pics of your kiddos, Mau will give you great tips, tricks, and most of all confidence in your skills.” – M Rouleau
This is the third time I’ve had the privilege of working with Urban Infant on their editorial series “How does she do it?” featuring woman in our community who are balancing the ever tenuous balance of career and motherhood. In the most recent issue, Kasha Anne took spotlight as she shared about her journey as a country singer in the band “The Orchard”. I’ll let you zip down to the nearest Safeway, Sobeys, library or local child focused business to pick up a copy and read about it. In the meanwhile, here’s some more images from the session I had with her and her two awesome girls on a chilly winter morning in late November. Thanks again Kasha and girls for being such good sports and having fun with me in the snow Kasha!
no comments She called me up and explained that they had just finished renos and rather than spending money on generic art, they preferred the idea of investing in some timeless family portraits. <insert glee here> Yes folks, this is the essence of my work.
no comments Due to popular demand, they’re baaaaaack! Update: As of Saturday, August 11th, there is ONE spot remaining.
no comments Call me a simpleton, but one of my greatest pleasures is chronicling the lives of my clients. Watching the kidlets grow and evolve into little people is a privilege I don’t take for granted. I first met this family a couple years back before their youngest arrived and we spent one smokey friday morning to capture these connections at a downtown Edmonton park. Enjoy!
