tangible moments photography bio picture
  • Welcome to my blog.

This is the place where I'll post peeks from my sessions as an Edmonton Child and Baby Photographer and share random musings from my life as a mom to five of the most precious girls ever. So grab a coffee and enjoy. Come back and visit often. And of course, leave me a comment. I love receiving comments!

Update: I'm currently booking for Fall 2016.

I'm pleased to be part of one fabulous association NAPCP, accrediting professional photographers who choose to specialize in babies and children.

    Thanks for stopping by,

Urban Infant | Edmonton Child and Baby Photographer

I’ve been wanting to share with you a couple of fun happenings, including having one of my images as the cover in the most recent issue of Urban Infant Magazine! (The fourth edition of this fabulous issue is all about pregnancy through preschool in style, cofounded by the director of Modern mama Connie Peters and Edmonton’s Child Wendy Mueller.)

I was invited to photograph the official launch party at the Bavaria BMW dealership a few months back. And what a great party it was! Treats from Whimsical Cake Studio, advice and carriers from the mama of Natural Urban Mamas, not to mention lots of car seats and expertise from the staff of West Coast Kids. Oh, and lots of photos. 🙂 Along with another local photographer, we snapped away for several hours at all the cuties that walked through the door. Here’s a glimpse into the great afternoon, including the adorable little man, Yemi, who stole everyone’s heart and graces the cover of the Urban Infant summer edition.

In addition, I was pleased to contribute a photography-related article, ‘photo 101 capture your life’. I love to teach! So when the opportunity arose to write about something I’m passionate about (helping parents get more comfortable with the camera and take better images of their kids) I was thrilled. And of course there are a few images of my two youngest in there as well, but I’ll let you find those photos for yourself. Make sure you pick a copy; there’s some great reads inside including advice on setting up a romantic getaway in your backyard, debunking the wedding dress code for your kids from Edmonton’s blogger City and Baby and outdoor safety (especially around the BBQ).

P.S. Here’s an excerpt from ‘Photo 101’

“The moments of your family’s life are fleeting and learning how to capture them can have it’s challenges. With insights on how to photograph those moments, tips on purchasing a new camera and displaying those images safely, consider these suggestions to both simplify and guide your journey….”

P.P.S. Here’s the link to read this issue online: http://www.urbaninfant.ca/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/UI-Summer-2011-WebMag.pdf

Have a read thru and let me know if you learned anything. 🙂
