the tangible holiday giveaway with Coverboo | shop local

Welcome to the second giveaway as part of the Tangible gift giveaway featuring local products! (For more inspiration and ideas on how to keep your shopping dollars local, visit the City and Baby blog! )
I don’t know about you, but I get pretty tired of using the ‘nusing cover’. You know the ubiquitous term for a cheesy flower power cloth with a strap around your neck to cover up while nursing your baby. It seems synonymous with a billboard calling out ” Don’t mind me, I’m just breastfeeding and need to wear this huge flower blanket”.
Well, now there is an alternative. Introducing, the coverboo!
I met Maria of Coverboo couture this past summer at the very first Social Circlet, a casual social to meet fellow entrepreneurs, designers, business owners and people alike who link through the network channels. She was wearing one of her coverboos that evening, but to the bystander it was simply a pretty blue silk scarf. My littlest was just 2 weeks old that evening and so I tried out the coverboo. Not only does it look stylish, it’s designed to also wear as a cover up for those nursing breaks!
(Photo is NOT property of tangible moments and belong to coverboo couture.)
I asked Maria about her inspiration behind Coverboo:
“I came up with the idea for the CoverBoo because I had looked around at the other nursing covers in the market and I had already owned so many scarfs I liked to wear, and none of which covered me up properly without falling down.
I finally dug out my sewing machine and came up with a design that I played with on some of my existing scarves and voila. The CoverBoo was born. No more digging into your diaper bag looking for the nursing cover. No More searching thru various pockets for clips to keep your nursing blanket clipped to you.
All you have to do is twist & adjust the CoverBoo Nursing scarf, and in less than 30 seconds you are set to feed your baby ! I love it for the convenience… and the fact that doesnt LOOK like your typical nursing cover.”
(The photo below is a snapshot of me using the coverboo at the aforementioned Social Circlet. This particular scarf was a smaller size, and larger ones are available to offer more coverage as well.)
So where can you purchase one of these coverboos? (A locally based online retailer, sprogs!)

But we can’t have a giveaway without giving away one of these fabulous Coverboos. SOOO, here are the details:

I love both! And ‘Like’ Both and can’t speak enough on how important a good Grey Jersey ‘Scarf’ .. aka coverboo is perfect for everyone! EVEN if not breastfeeding. Seriously how can you go wrong fashion-wise. Promote this product for anyone needing a product that is not only practical for the breastfeeding mom but also something that will last beyond the years and become a ‘staple’ in the accessory wardrobe!
