tangible moments photography bio picture
  • Welcome to my blog.

This is the place where I'll post peeks from my sessions as an Edmonton Child and Baby Photographer and share random musings from my life as a mom to five of the most precious girls ever. So grab a coffee and enjoy. Come back and visit often. And of course, leave me a comment. I love receiving comments!

Update: I'm currently booking for Fall 2016.

I'm pleased to be part of one fabulous association NAPCP, accrediting professional photographers who choose to specialize in babies and children.

    Thanks for stopping by,

What every child needs to hear

I love this book. But more importantly, my girls adore it. As a mom, I’m always striving to find a medium to stir up real conversation about the important stuff. Dialogue that will help to instill confidence in who they really are and empower them to deal with life’s struggles. But let’s face it, some of these intentions get lost on a busy schedule, where each day turns into the next and we relay on the old adage of there’s always tomorrow.

You won’t see this book collecting dust under the bed or on the bottom of the toy box.

My girls pull it off the bookshelf nearly everyday for a read through, including my toddler who just loves to look at the colorful images. The illustrations, by Jared MacPherson are captivating.

Poignantly written by Leanne Powers, the story draws you in, as you read about a charming little girl, Marly Rae and her life experiences that provide opportunity to not only reaffirm her self worth and unique beauty but also appreciate this beauty in others and everything around us.

We all know too well, the daily pressures of our society, bombarded with the media about the importance of outer beauty. How many opportunities do we have to counteract that false and superficial message? Each time you read this book, is one of those precious opportunities. To revisit the message of embracing our uniqueness on a regular basis, all on the initiative of my girls is a gift.

A gift that is sooooo beautiful.
