tangible moments photography bio picture
  • Welcome to my blog.

This is the place where I'll post peeks from my sessions as an Edmonton Child and Baby Photographer and share random musings from my life as a mom to five of the most precious girls ever. So grab a coffee and enjoy. Come back and visit often. And of course, leave me a comment. I love receiving comments!

Update: I'm currently booking for Fall 2016.

I'm pleased to be part of one fabulous association NAPCP, accrediting professional photographers who choose to specialize in babies and children.

    Thanks for stopping by,

    Mau

Camera Basics 101 with Modern Mama | workshops

We’ve been delighted to hear the feedback from the very first Camera Basics workshop with Modern Mama. Here’s a tidbit.

I have been taking pictures with my camera for a long time now but it was really great to listen to Maureen talk with such a passion about photography. I walked out there so enthused about photography I wanted to start snapping pictures using all the neat tips she gave. I would highly recommend this class to anyone from novice to intermediate photographers wanting to learn in a fun and exciting way. – S. Gaida

I would like to thank you for the great opportunity of attending the Modern Mama Camera Basics Class that you instructed.  Tangible Moments Photography always captures the natural beautiful moments that ‘speaks 1000 words’.  Taking a picture just seems so easy when I watch you in action Maureen.    Now, being a mom  and watching my children grow up way too fast, I can only dream to catch some natural moments without ending up with a blurry, dark and ‘staged’ picture.  It is not easy for me.  Your Camera Basic Class has helped me become familiar with my camera, understanding it’s settings and put some knowledge behind my attempts to capture a moment or two.  You have given me some secret that has made my pictures clear and bright!  Thank you! – C. Finlayson

Maureen has a gentle yet motivating way of encouraging mommy and daddy photographers when it comes to using their cameras. Her simple and clear explanation of terminology helped me go “aha! that makes more sense!” and I have been using a DSLR for almost 6 years. I highly reccomend attending her photo classes if you have no clue how to use your camera to take pics of your kiddos, Mau will give you great tips, tricks, and most of all confidence in your skills. -M. Rouleau

SOO due to the request of many that’s weren’t able to attend the previous date, we’ve decided to hold another Camera Basics workshop!
